Graduate Admissions Assistant, Occupational Therapy – Graduate Admissions

General Statement of Duties:

The Graduate Admissions Assistant (Occupational Therapy) supports the Admissions staff with all aspects of recruitment and enrollment of Salem State's graduate programs, primarily Occupational Therapy, including a strong emphasis on engagement with individual prospective students. Additionally, this role conducts research and analyzes data to improve existing admission practices and policies, including, but not limited to: recruitment events, application procedures, yield vs. melt, marketing materials, competitive analysis, and more.

Duties and Responsibilities

DUTIES:

  • Assist in application maintenance for Salem State's graduate programs using our CRM systems (OnBase, Salesforce, PeopleSoft) to provide regular status updates to current applicants and field applicant queries via email and phone.

  • Research, assess, document, and present relevant competitive analysis data.

  • Connect with prospective students (in-person, by phone, and via email). Provide campus tours upon request.

  • Participate in all Occupational Therapy recruitment events, as well as general Graduate Admission events (as appropriate).

  • Demonstrates sensitivity to students, faculty, and staff of varying racial, ethnic, religious, gender, cultural, disability, sexual orientation, and socioeconomic backgrounds.

  • Demonstrates sensitivity to students with a diversity of learning.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Possess academic credentials and experiences suitable to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position.

  • Knowledge of, and familiarity with, computerized processing preferred.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Must be in good academic standing and maintain a 2.75 cumulative average.
