Math Learning Center Tutor – Mathematics
The Math Learning Center (MLC) is seeking enthusiastic and reliable tutors to join our team. As an MLC Tutor, you will provide drop-in tutoring support to students in a welcoming, supportive environment, helping students strengthen their understanding of mathematics and develop effective study strategies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:

Be Punctual and Reliable: Arrive on time and maintain your individually scheduled tutoring hours.

Engage Proactively: Actively approach and assist students who come to the MLC for drop-in tutoring.

Foster a Supportive Environment: Help maintain a friendly, inclusive, and encouraging atmosphere for all learners.

Communicate Effectively: Share challenges, successes, and relevant observations with the MLC Coordinator and/or Department Chair to support ongoing improvement.
Minimum Qualifications

Strong understanding of mathematics concepts, preferably through completion of or current enrollment in higher-level math courses.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with students from diverse backgrounds.

Previous tutoring or teaching experience is a plus, but not required.
Wages
$17.00/hr
