Student Testing Assistant – Center for Accessible Academic Resources

The Student Testing Assistant will assist the Coordinator of Placement and Tutoring and other staff in CAAR with the Accuplacer placement assessments either in-person in CAAR or via Zoom.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Welcome students and make them feel comfortable in testing environment
  • Explain procedures to student
  • Set student up with test and remain in room or on zoom to monitor student for questions and to ensure appropriate testing environment
  • Troubleshoot any minor technical difficulties
  • Stay in good communication with CAAR staff about placement procedures
  • Participate in paid training

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work well independently
  • Reliable and dependable (showing up either in-person or on Zoom when a student has signed up to take the test)
  • Welcoming to all students
  • Basic computer skills
  • This particular position is for a graduate student or a student who has been working as a testing proctor for two or more semesters and has the ability to train new testing proctors.

Wages

$17.50/hr
