Summer Sustainability Intern – Facilities
Support the Campus Sustainability Program by managing social media, Freecycle tables, and tree and pollinator garden watering. Additional duties will include utility data entry, fall sustainability program planning and program benchmarking. This is a part-time position. The hours are somewhat flexible.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties:
- Maintain and water pollinator garden
- Water trees close to the Stanley building and possibly others as well
- Manage social media for sustainability office, especially Instagram
- Support the promotion of various sustainability programs via poster development, tabling support, and other means.
- Support Freecycle tables in all occupied residence halls by keeping tables neat, removing inappropriate items, bringing relevant items to the textile recycling containers.
- Enter utility data into shared spreadsheet and support analysis of FY25 data
- Support recycling and waste management programs via waste audits, review of container placement, signage and other means.
- Perform additional tasks related to sustainability or environmental health and safety as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Knowledge of and passion for sustainability
- Ability to work independently
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Social media skills
- Familiarity with Excel
- Gardening skills or interest helpful
Wages
$16.00/hr
