Shuttle Operator/Dispatcher I – Student Life
Operates shuttle van in safe manner in accordance with all University rules and regulations as well as all local and state traffic laws. This is for people in their second full year of being a shuttle driver or dispatcher.
Duties and Responsibilities
Ensures safe boarding and disembarking of passengers. Reports any vehicle damage, crashes, disorderly or suspicious incidents to their immediate supervisor. Keeps vehicle clean and orderly. Uses proper radio etiquette. Displays excellent customer service skills and demonstrates sound judgment.
Shuttle dispatcher communicates effectively with public and van operators. Operates office equipment and two-way radio, fields phone calls and maintains records and log. Complete dispatcher training conducted by University Police.
Minimum Qualifications
Shuttle van drivers must possess valid drivers license. Must be able to communicate effectively. Ability to maintain records and answer phone and radio. Must complete drivers training programs for shuttle operator. Must be in good academic standing. Must undergo background checks.
