Orientation and Student Life Content Creator – Student Life
The office of Orientation and Student Life is committed to providing students with a meaningful leadership opportunity to enhance their development outside of the classroom. The Orientation and Student Life Content Creator is responsible for marketing, communication, and implementation of the overall new student experience before, during, after orientation and welcome week.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a consistent social media presence on Instagram, twitter and Tik Tok
- Use professional software for marketing creation (Canva, Adobe InDesign, etc.)
- Regular reposting of other student life events
- Assist in creating content for Orientation Events and Welcome Week
- Assist in video and photography aspects of the orientation process and programs
- Create timeline for assigned posting for Orientation and Campus Partner events
- Assist with the Dean of Student Life Office with social media creation and posts
Minimum Qualifications
- Eligibility to work as a student employee through September 2024
- Be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate student for the duration of employment
- Minimum cumulative 2.5GPA and be in good academic and conduct standing with the university throughout employment
- Ability to work as a team member
- Flexibility - the ability to change with ease and to adapt to new situations
- Proven independent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Enthusiasm and a positive attitude
- Must be available to staff all orientation sessions (final dates will be made available at the time of offer)
- Must participate in all required pre-orientation training sessions (final dates will be made available at the time of offer)
- Must attend orientation new hire meeting
- If taking Summer coursework, it must be approved to ensure it does not conflict with the orientation job requirements
Wages
$15.00/hr
