First-Generation Student Success Center Program Coordinator – First Year Experience
The Program Coordinator supports the First-Generation Student Success Center (RISE Program) in develop programs with the first-generation coaching team to support the center's student participants navigate both their academic and social life at Salem State University. Coordinators will also provide support for Office Assistants and a variety of projects dedicated to first-generation learners, including social media posting, developing resources for first-generation learners, and other administrative duties as required. This is a work study position only (students must have work study through financial aid in order to apply).
Program Coordinators represent the RISE program and University in a positive manner while working in the First-Generation Student Success Center (FGSSC), and participate in creating a welcoming space where first-generation SSU students can thrive.
This is a work-study position. Applicants for the office position must have work-study through financial aid. Students must submit a FAFSA in order to be considered for work-study.

Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop with the coaches makeup workshops and related materials, for students
- Develop materials and assist in managing the Center's presence on social media, in partnership with Office Assistants and coaches
- Provide guidance and support to Office Assistants
- Provide guidance and support to students seeking assistance in the First-Generation Center
- Coordinate programs and events for the First-Generation Center and FYE as required
- Other duties as required
Minimum Qualifications
- Sophomore, Junior or Senior
- Understanding of, or commitment to, the SSU First-Generation Student community
Wages
$15.75/hr
