Office Aide I – Music and Dance

The Office Aide I for the Interdisciplinary Studies department will assist the department and chairperson with day-to-day office tasks such as greeting incoming guests, copying, filing and organizing confidential files and documents.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist faculty, adjuncts, students, guest and vendors that enter the office
  • Receive, sign and distribute incoming mail and packages to appropriate individuals or mailboxes, unpack and stock office supplies
  • Provide office assistant to faculty and adjuncts as needed such as copying, filing documents and projects.
  • Collect and distribute flyers to be displayed around campus
  • Maintain bulletin boards per instructions of the department chairperson
  • Assist chairperson with any other office tasks as needed

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality
  • Ability to multi-task and problem solving skills
  • Extremely detailed oriented and self-motivated/flexible
  • Excellent written, and oral communication
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
