Student HSI- MSI Ambassador – Office of Inclusive Excellence
Student HSI - MSI Ambassadors will assist the AVP of HSI-MSI Initiatives in raising awareness about the benefits of becoming a Hispanic and Minority Serving Institution, promote events, gather student questions and feedback.
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in HSI-MSI related events and trainings.
Participate in HSI-MSI initiatives and working group meetings
Assist with social media and promotion of HSI- MSI events and opportunities
Assist with engaging Viking students and families in English, Spanish and or Portuguese. This may include participating in admissions and orientation events.
Assist in gathering students questions and feedback about how to better serve our diverse student population.
Minimum Qualifications
Enrolled in current semester
2.5 GPA or above
Spring communication skills in English, and Spanish, Portuguese or French
Interest in HSI-MSI Initiatives and working with diverse communities
Wages
$16.00/hr
