Graduate Assistant for HSI- MSI – Office of Inclusive Excellence
The Graduate Assistant for HSI- MSI initiatives will work with the AVP and the Inclusive Excellence team to implement initiatives to welcome, support and advance Hispanic/ Latinx students and all students of color to improve student success.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the AVP of HSI- MSI initiatives to educate the community on the meaning and value of HSI's.
- Assist in welcoming new students and their families to SSU events and programs
- Provide bilingual support to family members participating in the new student orientation programs.
- Assist the AVP in implementing HSI- MSI initiatives
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate student at SSU
- Interest and commitment to supporting communities of color
- fluency in Spanish
- Strong oral and written communication.
Wages
$17.00/hr
