ClipperCard Student Employee Team Member – ClipperCard

The Brand Ambassador
is frontline staffing for counter space and in-person customer service for clippercard related visits. This position performs essential duties related to production of campus IDs on-demand, office upkeep, and handling general questions related to ClipperCard programs.

Duties and responsibilities support in-person interactions with students, employees, guests and other university patrons visiting the ClipperCard office location. Other work modes used are Microsoft Teams phone, messenger and email.

Beyond support for basic ClipperCard office functions, the Brand Ambassador program intends to promote value and quality food fare on campus and in the Salem area with participating merchants. This role should evolve to share positive vibes, participate in campus cheer, and present and promote popular culture to participants of ClipperCard social platforms.

ClipperCard Student Employee Team members may also participate in orientation and other similar functions and activities, and preparation of upcoming semester programs and related ClipperCard production.

Frequent topics may involve housing, meal plans, door access, parking, and other general campus directions or insights.

(Continued Employment from term to term is subject to performance review and rehire. But rehire from semester to semester is possible. Required hours are within 8 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday. Workdays that reach 6 hours require a half-hour unpaid break by law.)

  • Adhere to ID photo guidelines when approving photo submissions for production of new and replacement ClipperCards.
  • Become proficient with card printer production equipment for basic maintenance, and replenishment of consumables.
  • Answer office phone calls, notate voicemails, and respond to emails on regular basis.
  • Ability to show discretion in the handling of confidential financial and personal information.
  • Accept training on how-to handle FERPA protected information as related to patron accounts.
  • May perform authorized changes and updates in ClipperCard related systems as directed.
  • May create content for ClipperCard communications that notify card patrons of important information, dates and program updates or changes.
  • Background and/or experience working with and communicating with a diverse campus population
  • Assist in various office upkeep, supplies inventory, and similar responsibilities.
  • Other duties will be assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills
  • Microsoft Outlook / Teams, Apple iOS, and popular Social Media platforms.
  • Minimum 1-Year experience in a professional environment
  • Familiarity with ClipperCard, GET app, and related campus login applications expertise.
  • Ability and willingness to accept training and instruction.
  • Ability to understand and adhere to concepts related to confidentiality, privacy, and security.

$17.00/hr
