Duties and Responsibilities
Events Assistants - Assists in providing guests with the set-up and tech needs that are requested for the various spaces that the campus community can book within department managed spaces.
Engagement Leaders - Provides administrative support and resources that will assist the Student Involvement and Operations department in meeting its mission, including but not limited to: answering emails, welcoming guests, and reviewing and confirming reservations in the campus scheduling system, 25Live. This role will support various student organizations in planning and organizing their events across campus, and will monitor event requests through Presence and 25Live. The student(s) in this role will also assist professional staff with the execution of various programs and events run by the department, and may take part in event set-up, breakdown, and check-in. Must be an excellent verbal and written communicator, capable of engaging effectively and positively through face-to-face interactions, and emails.
Social Media Assistant - The student in this role will help to cultivate unique and engaging content on our office’s social media channels in order to market events and interact with the SSU student community.
Prior customer service and event oversight experience a plus. Independent judgment often needed to solve problems.
