Graduate Student Counseling and Health Administrative Assistant – Counseling and Health Services

Counseling and Health Services is seeking a reliable and responsible graduate student to assist with front desk and administrative duties

Duties and Responsibilities

This position includes: in person, front desk customer service, answering phones, assisting with insurance referrals, attending to walk-in traffic, scheduling appointments for counseling and health services providers, assisting with data entry for health information and other confidential documents, reviewing immunization data with students, scanning documents into patient profiles, shredding confidential information, following office protocols, and delivering documents to other departments. This position will provide the chosen candidate experience working in an interdisciplinary health and wellness office, utilizing an electronic medical record and other university databases, as well as customer service around college student physical and mental health. The chosen candidate will be required to attend a Privacy/HIPAA training. Covid vaccine(s) and booster are required. Mask are to be worn and will be provided in the health office setting.

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate Student

Experience working in a health care setting

Strong customer services skills

Strict adherence to confidentiality laws

Strong attention to details

Comfortabel working in a medical setting and discussing personal mental and physical health concerns

Computere experienc and comfort with current and emerging technologies

Attend Privacy/HIPPAA training

Ability to work Monday-Friday during business hours (to be determined)

Proof of Covid vaccine and booster

Wages

$18.00/hr
