Peer Tutor for Evaluation Course – School of Social Work

The Evaluation Research Tutor will partner with professors in SWK 869 in providing tutoring support to students related to course content. Tutoring topics will include applied research design, evaluation design, applied univariate, bivariate and multivariate statistics and the use of MSExcel to calculate statistical tests. The Evaluation Research Tutor will provide group and/or individual support using a peer support model.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Evaluation Research Tutor will provide up to 10 hours per week of individual and group tutoring to students in all sections of SWK 869 using a peer support model. Weekly supervision for at least 30 minutes with their professor will also be required.

Minimum Qualifications

The Evaluation Research Tutor must either be a student in good standing in SWK 869 or a student who has completed SWK 869 with a grade of higher than a 3.3 (B+). Additionally, the Evaluation Research Tutor must have some experience working in a tutorial or mentoring capacity in some other setting.

Wages

$15.50/hr
