Psychology Office Aide – Psychology
The department of Psychology is looking to hire an Office Aide who can help support our faculty and students with various department tasks. This position will provide the Office Aide the opportunity to develop organizational and professional skills within the department. The department of Psychology is one of the largest, serving over 500 undergraduate students, over 100 graduate students, and depends upon administrative support.
Candidates must have a work-study award for Fall 2025 to apply.
Duties and Responsibilities
Under the direction of the supervisor, the work study student will engage in the following activities and services to support the work of the department: (a) greeting faculty, students, and other visitors to the office in a friendly and professional manner; (b) using Canva to design informational slides for the Bright Sign; (c) providing department-related information in person, by phone, or by email; (d) helping maintain an organized environment in the department; and (d) working on projects to assist the department, faculty, and student-related department activities.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be dedicated to the overall professional and inter-personal aspects of interacting with faculty, administration, and students.
Attention to detail and excellent communication skills are imperative to maintain accurate records, communicate on matters of professional concern, and the overall functioning of the department.
