Office Aide I - World Languages and Cultures – World Languages and Cultures

The Office Aide I will assist the department with day-to-day office tasks such as: greeting incoming guests, copying, filing and organizing confidential documents.

You must be approved for work study federal aid to apply for this position. Please contact the financial aid office for confirmation.

Hours that need coverage:

  • Wednesdays from 12-4:30 and Fridays 10:30-12:15
  • Tue/Thur from 3pm-4:30pm

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist all faculty, students, guests and vendors that enter the office.
  • Receive, sign, and distribute all incoming mail and packages to appropriate individuals.
  • Unpack and stock office supplies.
  • Oversee office supply inventory.
  • Provide office assistance to faculty and staff as needed with small tasks, such as copying, filing documents and small projects.
  • Collect and distribute flyers to be displayed around campus
  • Post Classroom/Faculty Notices as Requested

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining a high degree of confidentiality.
  • Strong initiative and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Extremely detailed oriented and self-motivated/flexible
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Dependable, reliable and punctual

Wages

$15.00/hr
