Security Assistant – University Police
Student Security Officers are used as observers, escorts, concert/library security, and to assist University police. Do not email the Police Department directly. To apply, please send a cover letter and resume to studentshuttle@salemstate.edu.
Duties and Responsibilities
Student Security Officers will monitor large groups at concerts and large events. Student Security Officers will utilize walk through metal detectors and/or hand held metal detectors.
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must have good situational awareness and be able to recognize potential security related issues.
Wages
$15.00/hr
