Sustainability in Academics Intern – College of Arts and Sciences
Students with a strong interest and background in sustainability are encouraged to apply for this internship with the Dean’s Office in the College of Arts and Sciences. This internship will support the strategic plan’s goal to broaden access to sustainability courses for students in all majors. The intern will conduct research on the courses and course sections offered in the 2023-2024 academic year (and possibly additional semesters) that contained sustainability content. This research will provide the baseline data against which to judge progress in reaching more students in future years when sustainability courses are tagged in the catalog. This is an excellent opportunity for a student to gain real-world research experience while supporting sustainability goals.
Research will utilize excel or google sheets and will also involve data presentation to portray the results in an enticing way to help students registering for spring courses. The intern will also develop some promotional materials about sustainability courses.
The internship will be approximately six hours per week.
