Environmental Health and Safety Intern – Facilities
The Environmental Health and Safety Intern will assist the Campus Safety Officer in providing fire safety and other routine inspections and equipment monitoring, protocol development and tracking, waste management, report management and related duties.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform various inspections including fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, satellite waste accumulation areas and other equipment, as needed
- Support waste management for batteries and other forms of universal waste
- Support the development of written protocols for inspections and routine equipment management
- Track inspections
- Manage inspectional records
- Perform other related duties, as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to be a self-starter
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Science major, criminal justice, fire science major preferred, not required
Wages
$15.00/hr
