Costume Shop Assistant – Theatre and Speech Communication
The Costume Shop Assistant is responsible for restocking costume items that have been pulled, organization projects in the costume shop as assigned, and assisting the Costume Shop Supervisor in other show-related duties.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Restock costumes from the shop to their appropriate storage location.
- Clean costume shop, dressing room, and costume storage areas as directed.
- Setting up the costume racks prior to costume build with ditty bags and rack tags.
- Assist in pulling items for rehearsal.
- Other duties as assigned by the Costume Shop Supervisor.
- Dress Code: Closed-toed shoes must be worn in the Costume Shop at all times.
Minimum Qualifications
Previous sewing experience and/or the successful completion of THE108 Intro to Stagecraft is preferred, but not required.
All applicants must have Work Study funds through SSU Financial Aid in order to qualify for this position.
