On-Camera Talent - Orientation – Student Life

Student Transition and Experience is seeking student talent to describe various university processes and systems on camera. The contribution of students will make the online orientation program an engaging and personal experience. We are seeking an applicant pool that is representative of our campus community – students of color, students with disabilities and students of any gender identity are all encouraged to apply. This position is virtual and does not require travel to campus. Applicants will be asked to audition with a short video recording, reciting a provided script. Available for up to 10 hours per week, but hours will vary.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Present written script on camera
  • Record audio and video from home with provided equipment
  • Collaborate with Academic Advising and the Student Navigation Center to familiarize yourself with the content

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience as on-camera talent, or as a performer on a stage
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Self-starting with an eagerness to learn
  • Accurately explain complex ideas in an easy to understand, succinct format
  • Comfortable using video and audio recording technology and equipment
  • Knowledge of university processes such as registering for classes or paying a university bill

Wages

$13.75/hr
