Front Desk Staff – Center for Academic Excellence

The Front Desk Staff will be responsible for greeting students and visitors to the Center for Academic Excellence (CAE), answering phone calls, directing phone calls to appropriate staff, mail distribution, photo copying, using office various machines, and providing any additional clerical support as needed. The Front Desk staff member is the first point of contact for the entire organization, which requires a positive attitude, and a polished, professional appearance. Front Desk Staff members multi-task in a variety of office activities.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Possess good communication skills and a professional demeanor
  • Shows attention to detail, as well as the ability to be flexible with a willingness to learn
  • Have the ability to follow complex, multi-step instructions associated with a modern, busy office environment
  • Proven record to be punctual and highly reliable
  • Maintain good judicial and academic standing at all times
  • Be familiar with and abide by all university policies
  • Prior office experience is a plus
  • Must have work-study funds as part of financial aid package - this is a work-studied funded position
