Graduate Administrative Aide – Counseling and Health Services

Counseling and Health Services is seeking a reliable and responsible graduate student to assist with administrative duties. This position will provide the chosen candidate with experience working in an interdisciplinary office, utilizing an electronic medical record and other university databases, experience with following office protocols, as well as customer service around college student physical and mental health. The chosen candidate will be required to attend a Privacy/HIPAA training.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Front Desk Customer Service
  • Answering a multi-line phone system
  • Assist with insurance referrals
  • Attend to walk-in traffic
  • Schedule appointments for counseling and health services providers
  • Data Entry, document scanning and shredding
  • Deliver and pick up items to other departments

Minimum Qualifications

Our ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:

  • Graduate student
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Strict adherence to confidentiality laws
  • Strong attention to details
  • Comfortable working in a medical setting and discussing personal mental and physical health concerns
  • Computer experience and comfort with current and emerging technologies
  • Attend Privacy/HIPAA Training
  • Schedule will be Monday – Friday, based on departmental needs, and will total 25 hours per week
  • Academic year requirement of September 2019 – April 2020
