Computer Lab Support Technician – ITS, Client Support Services

Early morning (opening) and evening (closing) shifts providing support in the computer lab helping students connect to online services (including but not limited to, Navigator, Email, Canvas, and wireless). Provide assistance with computer logins and assist with printing issues in the lab. Monitor and reload printer trays with paper during and at end of each shift. Provide effective software and equipment troubleshooting as necessary. Maintain lab supplies inventory. Keep computer workstations clean and orderly. Report all lab equipment problems and inventory status to supervisor with accurate details. Lab technicians are also expected to be available to provide support during various on-campus orientation activities throughout the academic year.

Minimum Qualifications

Outgoing, mature and responsible student with great interpersonal skills. General knowledge of, and experience with, computer hardware and peripherals. Strong working knowledge of online student services (including but not limited to, Navigator, Email, Canvas, and wireless). Applicant should have customer service experience and be detail oriented with excellent time management skills. Willingness and initiative to learn and expand on knowledge of software and hardware, including laptop repair.
